The 27-acre Porsche Experience Center adjacent to Porche’s North American headquarters in Atlanta hums with drivers spinning around the 1.6-mile road course. Additional driver-training sections are located in the infield.

Instructors explain techniques in high-performance driving for five types of experiences from 4X4 driving to Exploring Porsche before leaving for a run on one of the sections or off-roading. Car Control 101 is low speed on a polished concrete surface — like a “slick track” on a go-kart course, only while driving Porche 911s and Caymans. Experiences range from 90 minutes and four hours. Virtual driving simulators are also on site.

Only the world’s best supercars are allowed on the seven-turn, 1.2-mile circuit called The Playground at Exotics Racing in Las Vegas, Nevada. With a fleet of 50+ exciting and desirable supercars, groups can pick their choice of models from Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Corvette and other iconic models. One of the most popular experiences is the “Drifting Ride-Along” experience in the Corvette Z06, where guests sit shot-gun as a professional driver drifts around the race track. P.S. The Corvette Z06 reportedly goes zero to 60 in 3.7 seconds.

Home to one of the country’s longest road racing circuits, Road America offers a program of group events. One of the most popular experiences is the Driving Adventure, which is held on the Skid Pad at the Motorplex. Allow half a day for time in the classroom and behind the wheel, or “range” time. Range time is devoted to car control and how to keep it under various conditions. The adventure concludes with a team relay.

Racing Adventures’ Level I Racing Adventure School begins at 9 a.m. and continues through the day with both classroom and time on the track that includes skill exercises on the skid and afternoon lapping sessions. Certificates of achievement and a color souvenir photo are presented during a graduation ceremony. Three-lap ride-a-longs are also popular, especially in a Cobra or Corvette.
